The Value of Time in the Light of Islamic Teachings.

The life of this world and its wealth and possessions are temporary and perishable. Every soul, after spending its allotted time here, has to migrate to the Hereafter, which is a permanent and eternal abode. As Muslims, we believe that death is inevitable. It is very surprising if, despite believing in this belief, we live a life of neglect in this world. Remember that every moment of the ‘time’ we are spending in the form of life is very precious. Time is something that you cannot buy with any currency. It is such a safe investment of a person that benefits him in this world and the hereafter. If a person loses something valuable in this world, he hopes that he will find it again someday, and sometimes he does find it, but time is something that once it passes, there is no hope of its return because time that has passed never comes back. As Muslims, we should value time more than the followers of other religions because we know that worldly life is like a field for the hereafter. What we sow in it, we will reap in the hereafter. If we value our time in this life and spend it sowing the seeds of goodness, kindness, and virtues, then on the Day of Judgment we will reap the fruits of prosperity and salvation.
