Islamabad:(Reporter Javed Iqbal) According to Global Times Media Europe, Field Marshal Asim Munir said that a strong and people-friendly police is indispensable for internal security. The implementation of law and order is the sacred trust of the police. The armed forces will always stand by the side of the Pakistan Police. According to the ISPR, Field Marshal Asim Munir visited the National Police Academy Islamabad and met and talked with officers of the Police Service of Pakistan. The Federal Interior Minister and the Minister of State for Interior were also present during the visit. According to the ISPR, Field Marshal Asim Munir was given a grand welcome at the Commandant National Police Academy. Field Marshal Asim Munir was presented a guard of honor by a dedicated police contingent. The Field Marshal laid flowers at the memorial of police martyrs and offered Fateha. Field Marshal Asim Munir paid tribute to the martyrs of the police who sacrificed their lives. The Field Marshal appreciated the sacrifices of the police personnel in the struggle against terrorism, crime and security challenges. The Field Marshal addressed the IGs, Additional IGs and senior officers. The Field Marshal stressed the importance of inter-agency cooperation and modern policing. According to the ISPR, the Field Marshal termed public trust as the foundation of law enforcement agencies and said that a strong and people-friendly police is indispensable for internal security. The implementation of law and order is the sacred trust of the police. Field Marshal Asim Munir said that the armed forces will always stand by the side of the Pakistan Police.
