London:(International Desk) According to Global Times Media Europe, a large Afghan human trafficking network operating in Europe has been exposed, in which the law enforcement agencies of the UK and Belgium have carried out a joint operation and deported two main suspects. This operation was carried out in cooperation with the UK's National Crime Agency (NCA) and Belgian security agencies. According to the National Crime Agency, the main suspect of the human trafficking network, Zeeshan Bangash, has been deported from the UK, while the other main suspect, Saifur Rehman Ahmadzai, was deported from Belgium. Both men are Afghan nationals and were leading an organised network of illegal migration in Europe. According to the NCA, this Afghan smuggling network was involved in transporting people via Iran and Turkey to France and Belgium, from where they were illegally transported to the UK. The network transported thousands of people from various European countries to the UK through secret and dangerous routes, including deadly methods such as crossing the sea by boat. According to the investigation, a Belgian court has sentenced 23 people belonging to this network to a total of 170 years in prison, which is being described as one of the toughest court decisions against people trafficking in Europe. This network was carrying out illegal migration in exchange for huge sums of money by putting human lives at risk. The National Crime Agency says that international cooperation against people trafficking will be further strengthened and tough actions will continue against such networks to prevent illegal migration in Europe and the UK.
