Iran: G7 foreign ministers condemn crackdown on protests.
The group warns that it stands ready to take further restrictive measures if the crackdown continues in violation of international human rights obligations.
ITALY:(International News Desk)According to Global times News Agancy Europe,G7 foreign ministers and the European Union High Representative expressed “grave concern” over the crackdown on protests underway in Iran from late December 2025.In a joint statement, the ministers condemned the Iranian authorities' use of violence, including killings of protesters, arbitrary arrests, and intimidation, highlighting the high number of deaths and injuries. The G7 called on Tehran to exercise full restraint, cease violence, and respect fundamental rights, including freedom of expression, information, association, and peaceful assembly.The group also warned that it stands ready to take further restrictive measures if the crackdown continues in violation of international human rights obligations.
