Study visit of the participants of the 3rd MCMC comprising officers of the Sindh government to Parliament House, Islamabad.
On arrival at Parliament House, the delegation was warmly welcomed by the officers of the Senate Secretariat and given a detailed briefing on the parliamentary system, the legislative process and the role of the Upper House.
ISLAMABAD:(Report by Nazish Jabeen) According to Global Times Media Europe, a delegation of 30 officers of the 3rd Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC) organized by the Training Management and Research Wing of the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department of the Government of Sindh, paid a study visit to Parliament House Islamabad. Upon arrival at Parliament House, the Senate Secretariat officers warmly welcomed the delegation and gave them a detailed briefing on the parliamentary system, legislative process and the role of the Upper House. During the study visit, the delegation visited the Senate Museum where they were also shown a documentary based on Pakistan’s parliamentary journey, constitutional evolution and the history of the Senate. The delegation was taken to Constitution Street where they were informed about the importance of the Constitution of Pakistan and democratic values. The delegation later visited the Senate Hall where they were informed about the holding of sessions of the Upper House, the procedure for making laws and the administrative affairs of the Senate. The participants of the delegation termed the visit to Parliament House as useful and appreciated the hospitality provided by the Senate Secretariat. Appreciating the hospitality and detailed guidance, he said that such visits play an important role in enhancing the professional skills of officers and strengthening their understanding of parliamentary institutions.
