Condolence Reference Held at Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Lahore

LAHORE:(Special Representative) According to Global times News Agancy Europe,A condolence reference was held for deceased student of final-year Fatima Jinnah Medical College under the patronage of Vice Chancellor FJMU Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal.
The reference was attended by Principal FJMC Prof. Abdul Hameed, Deans Prof. Aisha Malik, Prof. Bilquis Shabbir, Prof. Aliya Zahid, Prof. Muhammad Nadeem, Prof. Shamila Ijaz Munir, Prof. Naveed Akbar Hotiana, all faculty members, final year students, Representatives of Parents of students, Medical Superintendent Dr. Arif Iftikhar Hospital administration and post graduate residents of FJMU representing the Young doctors (Dr. Muhammad Osman Shahid Ch., Dr. Shafay Sabir), FJMU students Dr Iqra (final Year CR) Dr. Nawal, Dr. Mehreen (Fourth year CR) expressed their condolence, showed support of the university efforts and gave suggestions for future action.The sad demise was discussed in detail in a respectful and structured manner with heartfelt condolence by the audience with the grieved family.Participants reflected on the circumstances and emphasized the importance of collective responsibility, transparency, and student welfare.Staff members of Fatima Jinnah Medical College and Fatima Jinnah Medical University attended the funeral prayer of the deceased in her ancestral village in District Bagh, Azad Kashmir, last evening as representatives of the institution and extended their condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family. Today’s morning, university representatives also attended a condolence reference held at the deceased’s ancestral school.Following thorough deliberation, a clear line of action was decided upon the suggestions of representatives of final year students and young doctors following line of action was decided:
First aid services within the hostel will be upgraded and reinforced. All Assistant Wardens will be trained in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) to enhance emergency preparedness. The already existing psychosocial support and student well-being services will be ensured and further strengthened for both students and faculty. Psychological support mechanisms will be made more accessible and proactive. Director P&D has been instructed for infrastructural reinforcement and Director IT for proper camera surveillance within the hostel campus.The Registrar Prof. Muhammad Nadeem prayed for the dear daughter of FJMC. May Almighty Allah grant her highest place in Jannat Ul Firdous and grant Sabar E Jamil to the grieved family (Aameen). In addition to faculty members and students, representatives of the students’ parents were also present at the prayer.
