Violence against the people who came to express solidarity with Imran Khan is condemnable.Tabish Tawfiq
Peaceful protest is the constitutional right of every citizen. Central leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf talks
Peshawar:(Special Correspondent) According to Global Times Media Europe, the blind use of force against the people who came to express solidarity with Imran Khan is another dark example of state thuggery. On the one hand, the law is being practically suspended by stopping meetings with Imran Khan, while on the other hand, the flags of Yazidiism are being raised by firing bullets at the peaceful protesting people. Central leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Tabish Tawfiq expressed strong reservations over the use of force against the Tehreek-e-Insaf in Islamabad and termed these illegal tactics as the irresponsible and authoritarian policy of the federal government. He said that these measures are not only a serious violation of basic human rights but also a slap in the face of democratic values. He added that when the state starts resorting to force to suppress the voice of its own citizens, it becomes a question mark on the justice system. Peaceful protest is the constitutional right of every citizen, but this method of suppressing it is creating unrest and instability in the society. Tabish Tawfiq expressed his determination that the voice of truth and justice cannot be suppressed, and the legitimate demands of the people will continue to be highlighted at all costs. He demanded that the use of force be stopped immediately, the arrested persons be released, and the rule of law be ensured in the country so that the trust of the people can be restored.
