Gadani Open Katcheri Held Under DC Hub Captain (R) Juma Dad Mandookhel – Assurance Given for Immediate Resolution of Public Issues

Hub:(Special Representative)According to Global times News Agancy Europe,The Hub district administration organized a formal open katcheri at the Municipal Committee Gadani to address public grievances and register complaints directly.The katcheri was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Hub Captain (R) Juma Dad Mandookhel. Officials from Police, FC, heads of various district departments, Chairman Municipal Committee Gadani Wadera Jansher Baloch, and other concerned officers also attended.A large number of residents from Gadani and surrounding areas participated and presented their issues and complaints directly to the district administration. Citizens highlighted key problems including:
- Unannounced load shedding and interruptions in electricity supply
- Shortage of clean drinking water
- Difficulties faced by fishermen due to illegal trawling
- Provision of employment for local youth in DG Cement Company
- Priority hiring of locals in the ship-breaking yard

The public also lodged complaints against the liquor shop at Gadani Cross, demanding legal action to protect law and order and safeguard the younger generation. Additional demands included provision of buses for students, transport facilities for students coming from remote areas, installation of solar systems in government schools, and establishment of a modern computer lab at Government High School Gadani to provide students with education and IT facilities aligned with modern needs.Local fishermen and community elders termed illegal trawling a serious threat to marine life and the livelihood of local fishermen, demanding immediate and effective action against it. Youth also expressed concern over the lack of employment opportunities for locals in industrial units and the ship-breaking sector.Deputy Commissioner Hub Juma Dad Mandookhel listened to all issues in detail and issued on-the-spot instructions to the concerned department officers. He stated that provision of basic facilities to the public is the government’s top priority. He added that the water issue in Gadani will be permanently resolved through the BSDI Phase-III project. He directed relevant departments to take immediate practical steps to resolve issues related to electricity, water, education, IT facilities, and employment, and said that no negligence in addressing public complaints will be tolerated.He said the purpose of open katcheris is to reduce the gap between the public and administration and resolve citizens’ issues at their doorstep. The Deputy Commissioner assured that the district administration will utilize all available resources for public welfare and regional development.
