British minister: Azerbaijan is important partner in security and diplomacy.

According to Global times News Agancy Europe,Azerbaijan is an important partner for Britain in security and diplomacy.The global times Europe media that Lord Vernon Coaker, the UK Minister of State for Defence, said this while speaking at an official reception in London dedicated to the 108th anniversary of Azerbaijan's independence.Addressing the event as a high-level official guest from the British side, Lord Coaker spoke about the growing potential of the existing partnership between the two countries: "I am proud that the British government I represent is raising relations with Azerbaijan to the level of strategic partnership. This will allow our countries to expand cooperation in defense and security, trade, investment, economic growth, as well as innovation and education. These priorities are being discussed during the growing number of high-level visits between the two countries.The British minister said that in an increasingly uncertain and dangerous world, the presence of friendly and partner countries is more important than ever.He touched on Azerbaijan's significant achievements throughout history and especially in recent years, saying that Britain welcomes and appreciates Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's continued efforts to achieve lasting peace in the region.The British minister also fondly recalled his visit to Azerbaijan last December, noting that the country had made a deep impression on him. The British official said he was particularly impressed by the unity of antiquity and modernity, as well as East and West, in the city of Baku, and by the friendliness and hospitality of the Azerbaijani people. He noted that visiting Azerbaijan gave him an opportunity to get to know the country more closely.Lord Coaker said his meetings with President Ilham Aliyev and Azerbaijani officials during his visit to Azerbaijan have given impetus to the development of bilateral relations, including cooperation in the field of defense.Lord Coaker is not only a minister of state but also a member of the House of Lords of the British Parliament. Britain's representation at the Independence Day reception in London at the level of minister of state highlighted the positive development of relations between the two countries.
