Islamabad:(Special Representative)According to Global times News Agancy Europe,Dr. Henna Ahsan presented a working paper highlighting unemployment remains a major socio-economic challenge in Pakistan, driven by the rapid expansion of higher education and a growing youth population. Using an Age–Period–Cohort analysis based on Labor Force Survey data (2001–2025), the findings show that while higher education improves employability overall, younger educated cohorts face higher unemployment than their older counterparts.Dr. Amena Urooj (Associate Professor, PIDE) has co-authored the paper. Dr. M. Jehangir Khan (Associate Professor, PIDE) served as the discussant for the research.
