OIC General Secretariat Participates in the Opening Ceremony of the Konya OIC Youth Capital International Program 2026

According to Global times News Agancy Europe,Upon the kind invitation of H.E. Dr. Osman AลŸkฤฑn Bak, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Tรผrkiye, the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) participated in the Grand Opening Ceremony of the Konya OIC Youth Capital International Program 2026, organized by the Republic of Tรผrkiye in cooperation with the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) in Konya.
The ceremony was attended by senior Turkish officials, including H.E. Dr. Osman AลŸkฤฑn Bak, Minister of Youth and Sports, and the Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, in addition to ministers responsible for youth affairs from several OIC Member States, representatives of relevant OIC organs and institutions, and youth delegates from across the Muslim world.In his statement delivered on behalf of H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the OIC, Dr. Boubakari Maiga, Head of the Youth and Sports Department at the OIC General Secretariat, emphasized that hosting the OIC Youth Capital International Program this year reflects Tรผrkiye’s continued commitment to youth empowerment, its active support for OIC programs and activities, and its important role in advancing opportunities for young people throughout the Islamic world under the wise leadership of H.E. President Recep Tayyip ErdoฤŸan.On the sidelines of the event, Dr. Boubakari Maiga held meetings with ministers and heads of delegations from a number of OIC Member States, including H.E. Dr. Osman AลŸkฤฑn Bak. Discussions focused on ways to further strengthen cooperation in the field of youth empowerment and enhance joint efforts aimed at supporting young people across the Muslim world.
