Protecting the youth from drugs and intellectual deviation is a requirement of national security. National Peace Jirga 

Peshawar:(Special Correspondent) According to Global Times Media Europe, an important meeting of the National Peace Jirga for Interfaith Harmony Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Chairman Maulana Muhammad Iqbal Shah Haideri. The meeting was attended by Senior Vice Chairman Haji Fazal Muqim, Vice Chairman Haji Tariq Afridi, District Chairman Haji Zahir Shah Salafi, Peshawar City Chairman Liaquat Salar Khan Mohmand, Vice Chairman Dr. Ehsanullah, City General Secretary Mehboob-ur-Rehman Shah Haideri and other officials. The meeting discussed in detail the issues of law and order in the province, interfaith and interreligious harmony, youth welfare and training, increasing drug use and prevention of moral deviation. The participants expressed concern that the young generation is facing various problems due to the negative use of drugs, social media and immoral tendencies, which requires collective and systematic efforts to overcome. The meeting demanded that indiscriminate action be taken against drug peddlers and effective programs be organized to attract the youth towards education, skills, religious and moral training and positive activities. The participants emphasized that scholars, parents, teachers, media and government institutions should play their full role in protecting the young generation from misguidance and social evils. The meeting also agreed on joint measures to promote peace and order, religious tolerance, interfaith harmony and national unity during Muharram. The participants reiterated their resolve that the National Peace Jirga will continue its struggle for the promotion of peace, love, brotherhood, tolerance and high moral values ​​in the society.
