A grand ceremony was held at the Chief Minister House, Peshawar, on the occasion of World Food Security Day.

The ceremony was addressed by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi and Advisor on Food Dr. Muhammad Israr Khan.

Peshawar:(Special Correspondent) According to Global Times Media Europe, a grand ceremony was held at the Chief Minister House, Peshawar, on the occasion of World Food Security Day, which was presided over by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi.  The ceremony was attended by Advisor on Food Dr. Muhammad Israr Khan, Special Assistant Tariq Saeed Khan, Special Assistant Samiullah, senior officers of the Food Department and other concerned personalities. The ceremony was addressed by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi and Advisor on Food Dr. Muhammad Israr Khan. In his address, Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi reiterated the government’s commitment to providing safe food, food self-sufficiency, increasing the capacity of the Food Department and timely completion of development projects and said that practical steps are underway to make Khyber Pakhtunkhwa self-sufficient in various sectors. Advisor on Food Dr. Muhammad Israr Khan said in his address that safe, quality and halal food is the fundamental right of every citizen. He highlighted the ongoing steps for digital reforms in the food safety system, modern monitoring system, mobile food testing laboratories and effective redressal of public complaints, and said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is taking vigorous steps to provide safe and quality food to the people and ensure transparency in the system.
